Amouage

Amouage is the premiere luxury fragrance of the Sultanate. Founded over 30 years ago by the Sultan as a tribute to the country’s heritage, this “gift of kings” is a world class perfume and brand that is favored by international celebrities, heads of state and perfume lovers. 1983 found the launch of the brand with Amouage Gold: a deeply romantic and dynamic scent of white florals anchored with silver frankincense, its French lead crystal bottle topped by a 24 carat gold-plated dome. Disarmingly magnificent, it drew upon Arabian fantasies but modernized it.

Over 120 natural ingredients have come together to create the dozens of scents that are now part of Amouage’s portfolio. While you will be able to find the most popular items in any major city, body creams, candles, and anything limited edition is more readily available (at gentler prices) in Oman. Coupled with a visit to the Factory, it is a culturally rich experience and a worthy souvenier. Memory is strongest tied to scent, after all.
