Muscat’s outpost of the popular Jordanian casual dining chain, Tche Tche, is the moneyed crowd’s go-to for lazy lunches and shisha smokes. Its location is enviable, on narrow Al Shati Street, overlooking Qurum Beach with water views on both sides. This street is where the young and international converge, cruising their luxury cars as the sunsets. Through its expansive floor-to-ceiling glass windows and outdoor terrace, Tche Tche has the perfect vantage point.

For its prices, food can range from unmemorable to pretty good, but no one really goes to Tche Tche just to eat. Iced lattes are popular – and shisha more so as the evening progresses. The crowd and views convince to make your stay an all-day affair.
