Club Des Poètes

Club Des Poètes starts the night out as a restaurant, but at 10pm, morphs into a heated poetry slam where devotees take to the makeshift stage and recite from memory. This kitschy, bohemian den was founded by author and former freedom fighter Jean-Pierre Rosnay in 1961 to “render poetry contagious and inevitable,” They have come ever since, both young and old, linked by their love of poetry, to test their sonnets and verses over earnest home cooking and inexpensive libations (beer and cocktails €4-7).
